Chin a.k.a. The Rope Guy with his two sons

Hi! I’m Chin!

They say "Asian don't Resin" but heck, that's just on the outside.

If you're dealing with back pain from desk work, knees that complain when you run, or random pulled muscles just from playing with your kids. I feel you!

I needed a change. Cardio got boring, and strength training wasn’t helping me move like a real human. So I went back to something simple and nostalgic: skipping rope. It was great for cardio, but also challenged my coordination, rhythm, and focus.

While browsing jump rope tricks on YouTube, I stumbled across rope flow. One deep rabbit hole later, I was hooked - and here we are.

The benefits were too good not to share. I’m here to grow the rope flow community in Canada and make it fun, inclusive, and easy to get started. You don’t need a gym. You don’t need to be an athlete. You just need a rope and a little space.

Whether you’re starting fresh, recovering from injury, or just looking to move and feel better, you’re in the right place. Let’s move better, feel better, and maybe even look cooler doing it.

A Purpose Behind Every Swing.

Upcycled ropes are hand-washed, inspected, cut to size, heat-sealed, and finished with heat shrink tubing to prevent fraying. The result? A durable, sustainable rope that feels amazing in motion. Premium quality. Affordable price.

Flow ropes aren’t exactly cheap. Ridiculous for something that’s basically... a rope, right?

A good flow rope isn’t just any rope. It’s not your average PVC jump rope or cotton clothesline. The magic is in the weight and feel - achieved with a double-braided design (a dense inner core wrapped in a durable outer sheath). The kind of ropes used in climbing or marine settings: strong, smooth, responsive - but pricey!

My upcycled ropes are sourced from local Search and Rescue (SAR) teams. They are still in great shape, but retired for safety reasons - maybe they’ve reached their shelf life (even if never used), were used in a high-tension rescue, or were cut too short for field use. Every rope is purchased at a fair price, meaning your support directly helps fund and sustain these vital organizations.

We strive to uphold our values internally & with our community

Our Values

Inclusion

Rope flow is for everyone. You don’t need to be a fitness expert, a certain age, or look a certain way to start. Whether you're just getting off the couch or have years of movement experience, you're welcome here. We believe in building a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and inspired to move in their own way.

Growth

Growth takes patience, curiosity, and the courage to keep showing up. Progress doesn’t happen overnight, and that’s okay. Rope flow is a journey of self-improvement, not perfection. We’re here to grow alongside you, celebrating the small wins, learning from the fumbles, and always staying open to what’s next. Your feedback and critique is always welcomed.

Authenticity

There’s no “correct” way to flow,  just your way. Rope flow is a form of self-expression. We encourage you to move in a way that feels honest, creative, and true to who you are. Be messy. Be graceful. Be real. That’s where the magic happens.
